Tell Your Ministers To Stop Criticizing Buhari’s Administration, Tambuwal Advises Tinubu (View Text)

Former Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has urged President Bola Tinubu to refrain from disassociating himself from the tenure of his predecessor, Muhammadu Buhari. Tambuwal emphasized that Tinubu must stop his ministers and aides from criticizing Buhari’s administration.

Speaking during a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) stakeholders meeting in Sokoto State on Sunday, Tambuwal argued that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has no concrete plans to secure the country and is more interested in holding onto power.

He stated, “The same Tinubu government that has failed to secure Nigerians and bring development is now lamenting and disassociating itself from Buhari’s administrative failures. There’s no reason for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to allow his aides or ministers to be castigating and attacking the past APC government under Muhammadu Buhari, from which he has tremendously benefitted as a member of APC.”

Tambuwal urged Tinubu to focus on governing Nigeria with serious-minded attention and not to let “myopic tendencies” in his government undermine his plans for national security and development.

Furthermore, Tambuwal encouraged PDP supporters in Sokoto State to remain united and committed despite the challenges facing the country. He called for political understanding and unity within the party to ensure progress.

“Nobody can change our country without determination and commitment to a good cause, as we are all known for. Our party supporters should be united in bringing such progress to the party,” he added.

He reminded party members to uphold principles of peace, political unity, discipline, and respect for everyone in the party.
