Indomie, a well-recognized brand of instant noodles, enjoys widespread popularity in numerous countries, with a particular stronghold in Asia and Africa. It is renowned for its quick and convenient 2-minute cooking time, a characteristic that has become inseparable from the brand.

Interestingly, the term “2 mins” has taken on various connotations, including the infamous “2 mins man,” largely due to Tonto Dikeh’s memorable outburst.

Well, the Supreme Court has affirmed the election of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the 16th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in a landmark judgement, and the judgement, which some have described as 2 minutes, has shattered the warped mind of the opposition, particularly the Obidients, who dwell on all kinds of fantasy to further their twisted narrative.

These individuals exert significant effort in attempting to persuade others that the President was elected unlawfully and is incompetent. Because their favorite person wey dem wan make e win no fit win election, dem no wan make we hear word for town.

E dey important make we sabi say plenty of these people wey dey talk too much, wey no like the President at all, dem dey show big-time hypocrisy.

They seem to overlook similar issues in their own states and localities, where a significant number have governors who lack a clear grasp of governance and representatives who are embroiled in controversies.

What’s intriguing is their apparent unawareness of the power these leaders hold, as the constitution directly places the destiny of their states and regions in their hands.

They conveniently ignore the progress the country is achieving amid the fuel subsidy removal, despite the hardships it has brought. They also fail to recognize that many people, particularly those in the diaspora who perpetuate this criticism, spend an average $22 on lunch in nations such as Canada and the United States.
It’s important to remember that the same sum could supply a Nigerian family with a goat, ensuring a luxurious three-week dining experience for a family of four.
They refrain from emphasizing that the Federal Government has launched the pilot phase of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses while also declaring the waiver of Value Added Tax (VAT) on CNG-purchased vehicles. They fail to highlight the fact that the FG is patronizing domestically produced CNG buses, a move that was spearheaded by Chinedu Oguegbu and has resulted in the establishment of seven conversion centres throughout Nigeria.
They avoid discussing the inclusion of youths in government appointments and fail to recognize the administration’s dedicated efforts to integrate young individuals into the administrative system, thus establishing specialized plans to address youth-related concerns.
Nope, their sole focus is to paint a picture of doom and predict the country’s inevitable failure. They tend to overlook the economic challenges faced worldwide and neglect to mention the emerging successes in Nigeria’s digital economy. People are rapidly becoming wealthier and more renowned by the minute as they create content on the internet, a trend that goes unmentioned.
No, these matters are not what they typically choose to address. Nevertheless, the verdict from the apex court has brought calm to the nation, and meanwhile, Tinubu continues to strengthen his administration with innovative political strategies that hold the potential to positively impact the nation’s future.
The Ministry of Solid Minerals is gaining recognition for its innovative contributions, while the Ministry of Interior is streamlining the immigration process, transforming passport procurement into a swift and efficient experience, akin to the speed of preparing a 2-minute instant noodle, with thousands of backlogs being cleared daily.
They tend to overlook the significant transformation happening in the FCT under the leadership of Nyesom Wike, with construction and development projects visibly underway. Moreover, they rarely mention the remarkable increase in civil servants’ salaries, who are now receiving an additional 35,000 as a bonus.
My satisfaction today stems from the fact that the swift and decisive judgment has punctured their inflated egos, restoring calm across the board. It’s now up to each individual to believe as they wish, as Tinubu has solidified his role as the commander in chief of the armed forces.
