Across major cities in Europe, North America, and Africa, Edo indigenes in the diaspora are expressing joy and optimism following the appointment of Dr. Loretta Oduware Ogboro-Okor as Director-General of the Edo State Diaspora Agency.

From London to Toronto, and from Houston to Johannesburg, diaspora communities see her appointment as a signal that Edo State is ready to fully engage its global citizens — not just in words, but in action.

A Diaspora Leader for the Diaspora People

Dr. Ogboro-Okor has lived and worked internationally for over two decades, giving her first-hand experience of the diaspora’s needs, challenges, and potential. Her leadership is seen as long-overdue recognition of the importance of Edo citizens abroad.
