Gov Yusuf Swears In New Commissioner For Housing Development In Kano

Before his appointment, Adamu served as the Managing Director of the Kano Urban Planning and Development Authority (KNUPDA) and was instrumental in the design and development of Kwankwasiyya, Amana, and Bandirawo cities between 2013 and 2015 under the administration of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.

Governor Yusuf praised Adamu’s expertise, recalling how he first met him during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Abuja and later assigned him to design infrastructure for the National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration in Ogun, where he exceeded expectations.

Having previously served as Commissioner for Works and Housing from 2011 to 2015, Adamu now takes on the role of tackling housing challenges in Kano, particularly for civil servants. The governor urged him to work with financial institutions and stakeholders to provide more affordable housing in the state.
