Tinubu Appoints Three New Permanent Secretaries for FCTA Ahead of Key Retirements
President Bola Tinubu has appointed three new Permanent Secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), filling key positions as the current officials approach retirement and to manage the newly created Youth Development Secretariat.
A statement released on Wednesday by Anthony Ogunleye, the Director of Press in the office of the FCT Minister, confirmed the appointments. The new appointees are Okeke Joy Chinwe from the South-East, Ajayi Rotimi Babatunde from the South-West, and Nathan Nancy Sabanti from the North-East.
These appointments come in preparation for the retirement of two current permanent secretaries and the creation of the Youth Development Secretariat. President Tinubu also formalized the position of Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration as Solicitor General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.
The swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, as well as the Mandate Secretary for the Youth Development Secretariat, is scheduled for August 15 in Abuja.
This strategic move by President Tinubu ensures continuity in the administration of the FCTA and strengthens the legal and youth development sectors within the capital’s governance structure.
