Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, provided an analysis of Nigeria’s macroeconomics and stated that President Bola Tinubu inherited an economy that could be likened to a “dead horse but standing.”

He made these remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily when responding to Tinubu’s criticism of spending 90 percent of the country’s revenue on external debt service.

However, he expressed empathy and commiseration for Tinubu’s economic team, recognizing the difficulties they encountered.

He also commended President Tinubu’s initial actions in addressing issues such as removing the petrol subsidy and managing the exchange rate, describing them as courageous steps.
