“Tinubu Needs Your Prayers Now More Than Ever” – Sanwo-Olu Sounds National Alarm
Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has urged Nigerians to continue praying for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and support his ongoing efforts to lay the foundation for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.
According to iReporter Online, the governor made this passionate appeal on Friday during the commissioning of key projects executed by the Executive Chairman of Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Ajala, in Ilupeju, Lagos.
Represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Sanwo-Olu emphasized that the best way for Nigerians to contribute to national progress was by securing their Permanent Voters Cards (PVCs) and voting for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). He noted that the visible developments across local, state, and federal levels were a testament to what the APC government was achieving nationwide.
“Let us keep praying for President Tinubu,” he stated. “He is working to fix the country’s deep-rooted challenges, and we must support him in every way—including spiritually. Though Nigeria is collectively in pain, God will continue to guide him.” According to iReporter Online, Sanwo-Olu added that the nation was heavily indebted when Tinubu took office, and the president had already paid off over ₦21 trillion through tough reforms and blocked revenue leakages.
The governor also praised the developmental strides in local councils, including the recent commissioning of landmark projects such as the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Legacy Building, the Jide Sanwo-Olu Football Arena, and other infrastructure in Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye LCDA. According to iReporter Online, these investments are expected to boost local productivity, generate internal revenue, and improve staff performance in the long term.
Senate Leader Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, in his goodwill message, vowed that the National Assembly would push for the 37 LCDAs in Lagos to be officially recognized in the constitution. He commended the outgoing council chairman, Hon. Ajala, for fulfilling his electoral promises and uplifting the local government.
The APC Chairman in Lagos, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, also urged all party members to take PVC registration seriously, insisting that no one can contribute meaningfully to the party’s growth without it. He applauded Ajala’s achievements and expressed gratitude to God for a successful end to his tenure.
In his remarks, Senator Ganiyu Solomon praised Ajala’s commitment to the APC’s ideals, while Ajala himself highlighted that the projects commissioned were the fulfillment of promises made during his campaign—underscoring a people-centered vision for community transformation.
