Bayo Onanuga, two recently appointed officials—Daniel Bwala and Sunday Dare—have had their roles redefined as part of the restructuring effort.

Onanuga clarified that the updates signify a shift in approach, with no single spokesperson for the presidency. Instead, a collaborative model will be employed, involving three Special Advisers collectively managing communication duties for the administration.

Restructured Roles:

  1. Sunday Dare: Previously designated as Special Adviser on Public Communication and National Orientation, he is now Special Adviser, Media and Public Communications.
  2. Daniel Bwala: Initially appointed as Special Adviser, Media and Public Communication, he now holds the title of Special Adviser, Policy Communication.This restructuring aims to streamline communication channels, ensuring consistent dissemination of government policies, decisions, and engagements.

    The presidency’s collaborative media approach aligns with its mission of fostering transparency and efficiency.

    “These appointments reinforce the collective responsibility for delivering effective communication from the government to the public,” the statement added.
