Eyewitnesses claim that in response to the disruption, Father Enyinaya pulled out a revolver and shot the teenager. The shocking event has left the community in grief, with residents calling for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

According to a post by ‘For The Love Of Anambra’ on Facebook, witnesses reported that the priest immediately reacted to the noise by shooting the young boy. The police in Imo State have confirmed the priest’s arrest and the recovery of the teenager’s body, which has been taken to the Atta Ikeduru Mortuary.

Police spokesperson Henry Okoye confirmed that an in-depth investigation is underway to uncover the full details of what led to the shooting. “The priest has been arrested, and the boy’s body has been recovered. We are working to get to the bottom of this tragic incident,” Okoye stated.
