Acting Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Joshua Ukandu, conveyed the grim details, stating that the clash occurred on Sunday, January 31, 2024, with reports of gunshots echoing through the Oriuzor community. The violent encounter between rival cult groups resulted in the loss of three lives.

Ukandu shared, “Two persons have been arrested in connection with the clash, although the situation has been put under control.” He assured that the police force had swiftly responded, deploying a team to restore order in the community.
