On Tuesday, former President Muhammadu Buhari warmly welcomed Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, to his residence in Daura, Katsina state.
During the visit, Buhari accompanied the revered monarch to the palace of Umar Farouq Umar, the Emir of Daura.

Adding to the cordiality of the occasion, the former president also presented a royal horse as a gesture of honor to the Benin monarch.
Since his return to Daura, his hometown, on May 29 following the conclusion of his tenure as Nigeria’s president, Buhari has continued to receive esteemed guests and dignitaries at his residence.
