Atiku highlighted that Tinubu’s leadership has been marked by indecision and policy flip-flops, citing the unimplemented import duty reduction announced in July, which he said has led to continued economic hardship for Nigerians. He also took aim at the president’s handling of fuel subsidy removal and the stalled Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative, noting that they have failed to address skyrocketing transportation and food costs.

The former PDP presidential candidate criticized Tinubu for focusing on personal attacks against political opponents like himself and Peter Obi, rather than addressing the critical issues facing the country, such as security and economic recovery. He further accused the president of putting political loyalty over merit by appointing his associates to key security and economic positions.

Atiku also dismissed claims that he was jealous of Tinubu, asserting that no compassionate leader would envy policies that cause suffering for the Nigerian people. He emphasized that the country’s worsening economic and security situation should be Tinubu’s main concern, warning that Nigerians are growing increasingly frustrated with the administration’s failure to deliver.
