Osigwe made the appeal during the 2024 Opening of the Legal Year for the Anambra State Judiciary on Friday. He reaffirmed the NBA’s commitment to ensuring a judiciary that upholds justice impartially and without compromise. “In these challenging times, we must remain unwavering in our duty, as justice is the cornerstone of any successful society,” he remarked.

He also encouraged the Anambra Judiciary to adopt technology to enhance the judicial process, highlighting that it is no longer optional but essential for improving access, efficiency, and transparency in delivering timely and fair justice.

Additionally, Osigwe urged the Chief Judge of Anambra State and other court leaders to visit detention centers and prisons regularly, in accordance with the Administration of Criminal Justice Act. This initiative, he explained, is key to reviewing detainee statuses, ensuring the prompt release of those held unjustly, and preventing unlawful detention.
