According to Ireporter Online, the faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aligned with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, on Sunday convened a meeting of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT) in Abuja.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, the BoT Chairman, Senator Mao Ohuabunwa, reaffirmed the commitment of the board to rebuilding confidence within the party and ensuring the successful conduct of congresses in states where such exercises are yet to take place.

Ohuabunwa assured members that the party’s national leadership remains prepared to collaborate with all state chapters in a bid to introduce fresh leadership and strengthen stability across the country. He outlined the party’s strategic plans, which include completing overdue state congresses, strengthening current achievements, and offering full support to the national leadership as it works to reposition the party.

He emphasized that these measures are vital to promoting unity, transparency, and stronger grassroots participation within the party.
