Afrobeats superstar Wizkid has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first African artist to surpass 11 billion total streams on Spotify across all his credited works.

According to Ireporter Online, the record was confirmed on Tuesday by music analytics platform Chart Africa via a post on X (formerly Twitter), which noted that the singer had officially crossed the landmark figure, making him the first African act to do so on the global streaming platform.

The achievement further cements Wizkid’s position as one of Africa’s most streamed and influential music exports, as the milestone spans his entire catalogue of releases and collaborations.

The development comes shortly after the release of his recent collaboration with DJ Tunez titled “State of Mind,” which dropped on May 15, 2026, and recorded over 685,000 global Spotify streams within its first 24 hours of release.
