Woman In Tears As Barrow Pusher Escapes With Her Food Stuffs

A woman in her middle age, known as Mrs. Rebecca Gbaje, found herself in tears when a wheelbarrow pusher vanished along with the groceries she had purchased at Kwaita village market in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

An eyewitness at the market observed as fellow customers and traders gathered around to console the woman, while some sympathizers scoured the market in search of the missing wheelbarrow pusher.

As the woman tearfully recounted the incident to the sympathetic onlookers, she explained that she had bought a variety of food items such as rice, beans, maize, and other ingredients, packed in baskets, and had hired the wheelbarrow pusher to assist in transporting them to the roadside.

According to her, as the wheelbarrow pusher began moving the items towards the road, she briefly stopped to purchase fish, instructing him to wait for her.

“However,” she continued, “when I turned around after buying the fish, the wheelbarrow pusher was nowhere to be found.”

Gbaje revealed that she had traveled from Fogbe village to Kwaita market for the grocery shopping, and the total cost of the items amounted to N23,300.

In an act of kindness, some traders at the market collected money to help the distressed woman purchase replacement groceries, as she continued to sob inconsolably.
