Yusuf Ata: My Appointment Is To Reclaim Kano For APC In 2027

during his first official visit to Kano after being inducted into the Federal Executive Council.
In a conversation with the press, Ata outlined the political focus of his appointment, stating, “My appointment was largely for political reasons. The APC has lost Kano, but we are determined to reclaim it. The key battleground is Kano Central, which is my home base.”
He stressed his commitment to engaging with the grassroots, saying, “Even though I now hold a ministerial position, I will remain active in my ward. We will work hard to ensure the APC regains control of Kano by 2027.”
Ata clarified that while he would fulfill his ministerial duties, his attention would remain on Kano’s political scene. “I will carry out my responsibilities at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development, but I plan to visit Kano weekly to assist in securing the state for the APC,” he said.
Expressing gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the appointment, Ata emphasized that this was not just a personal achievement but an opportunity for the people of Kano and Nigeria. He confidently assured the President, “Kano will be won back by the APC in 2027
