Breaking

Retired military officer, Yahaya Ododo, has strongly criticized Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, asserting that his administration has let down the people of the state.

Ododo, who recently switched allegiance from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Action Alliance (AA) in Ankpa, advocated for a change in leadership in the state.

Formerly a prominent figure in the APC, Ododo and his supporters, united as the Ankpa Forum of Political Unity, made the move to AA. He explained that his decision to leave the APC was driven by the desire to establish principles of fairness, equity, and justice in the gubernatorial history of the state.

In a public declaration of his endorsement for AA’s gubernatorial candidate, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, Ododo stated, “I have been involved in Kogi State politics for a long time. I have worked for former Minister for Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Chief Bayo Ojo, and former Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Chief Olushola Akanmode. We are now ready to support AA’s gubernatorial candidate in the upcoming election.”

Additionally, Samuel Omale, a former prominent figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ojoku Ward, under Ankpa Local Government Area, who recently joined AA along with his supporters, urged the new members to spread their message of support for the party throughout the local government.

Braimoh, in response, informed the new members, as well as his existing supporters at the defection event, that he is dedicated to lifting Kogi State and its people out of poverty. He called for increased support from the Ankpa electorate.
