BREAKING: Court Sacks Another Nigerian Governor, Gives Strong Reason

The Court of Appeal in Abuja has nullified the election of Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, declaring the March governorship election in the state inconclusive.

On Thursday, the court also directed a rerun in three local government areas: Maradun, Birnin-Magaji, and Bukkuyum, as reported by Channels Television.

Zamfara, currently governed by Mr. Lawal of the Peoples Democratic Party, witnessed his victory over the then-incumbent governor, Bello Matawalle, of the All Progressives Congress.

While the election tribunal in Zamfara had initially ruled in favor of Mr. Lawal, the decision has now been overturned by the Court of Appeal. Mr. Lawal is expected to remain in office until the matter is conclusively determined by the Supreme Court.
