The Appropriation Bill, ratified by the National Assembly on December 30, 2023, and signed into law by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on January 1, 2024, will be subject to the vigilant monitoring efforts of the coalition.

Hon. Kunle Yussuf, the Director General of the group, assured the public through a statement in Abuja that Civil Society Organizations serve as a crucial source of information for both citizens and the government.

He emphasized their role as an umbrella platform for coordinating and promoting NGOs, CBOs, and FBOs in community advancement and humanitarian empowerment.

Yussuf highlighted the responsibility of the coalition in monitoring government policies, holding agencies accountable, and ensuring transparency and accountability in budget implementation.

He stressed the significance of budget control mechanisms in managing cash flow for both human and infrastructural development.

The director general affirmed the commitment of CSCHEI to collaborate with relevant federal government establishments to ensure judicious spending of every budgetary provision, especially during the current economic challenges in the country.
