Both agencies, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), fall under the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy, led by the former Governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola.

The appointed executives for the NPA are as follows:

(A) Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet — Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NPA)

(B) Engr. Olalekan Badmus — Executive Director, Marine & Operations (NPA)

(C) Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar — Executive Director, Engineering & Technical Services (NPA)

The appointees for NIMASA are:

(D) Mr. Jibril Abba — Executive Director, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services (NIMASA)

(E) Mr. Chudi Offodile — Executive Director, Finance & Administration (NIMASA)

(F) Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi — Executive Director, Operations (NIMASA)

Ngelale conveyed that the President approved these appointments with confidence in the new appointees’ capabilities, anticipating their prompt and efficient execution of their collective mandate.

The goal is to enhance the Marine & Blue Economy sector’s contribution to the nation’s GDP significantly.

He expressed the belief that the new appointees will play a crucial role in transforming the Nigerian economy into a labor-intensive and inclusive one, aligning with the Renewed Hope Agenda and the leadership of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
