Shettima guaranteed the success and positive impact of the NPO, emphasizing President Tinubu’s belief in giving back to society, ensuring the initiative’s prosperity. The NPO aims to raise $200 million in grants and non-financial investments to support startups in crucial sectors of the country’s MSMEs.

The Vice President noted President Tinubu’s long-standing commitment to philanthropy and identified gaps in philanthropy, leading to the establishment of the NPO.

He highlighted the NPO’s mission to support vulnerable enterprises and ideas, fostering collaboration between the private sector and the government.

Shettima outlined the NPO’s objectives, focusing on creating industrial value-chain hubs, accelerators, and generating one million jobs within the MSME ecosystem. Eligible MSMEs will receive grants, with emphasis on supporting women-led businesses.

The NPO, a private sector-driven initiative supported by the government, will establish 12 industrial value-chain hubs and accelerators across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria.

The initiative aims to transform philanthropy and impact the country’s investing landscape.

The Country Chairperson of the NPO, Thelma Ekiyor-Solanke, commended Vice President Shettima’s commitment to the initiative and outlined plans, including the establishment of 12 shared office spaces for startups across the six geopolitical zones.

The Local Implementation Committee, chaired by Thelma Ekiyor-Solanke, includes representatives from prominent institutions and organizations.

Inaugurating the committee, the Vice President urged members to work with a collective vision, emphasizing the NPO’s role in raising alternative funding for SMEs and critical economic programs through collaboration with the private sector.
