Odegbami, who claimed victory in the 1980 edition of the tournament, emphasized the importance of allowing the players to maintain their focus.

With the Super Eagles set to challenge the hosts for the coveted trophy, Odegbami stressed the need to eliminate any disruptions within the team camp.

“It’s crucial to remember that it’s never over until it’s over. The Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) must ensure that no distractions occur around the team prior to the match,” Odegbami remarked.

He continued, advocating for an environment that fosters concentration and dedication among the players, urging against unnecessary visits to the team camp.
