Following a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes of play, South Africa emerged victorious with a 6-5 win in the penalty shootout.
Addressing reporters after the match in Abidjan, Desabre attributed his team’s defeat to their inability to capitalize on scoring opportunities against Bafana Bafana.
Desabre expressed disappointment over the missed chances, stating, “We wanted to conclude the tournament on a high note, but our failure to convert chances hindered our performance.”
