This move came after criticism directed at him following Nigeria’s 2-1 defeat to Ivory Coast in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final.

Musa appealed to fans to stop cyberbullying, emphasizing that it not only violates decency but also constitutes a serious offense.

He highlighted the hypocrisy of claiming football unites while engaging in such behavior.

“Losing a game is undoubtedly tough, but singling out a player for the team’s shortcomings is unfair. We win and lose as a team,” Musa stated on X.
