Free-Agent Oboabona Returns To Sunshine Stars
Godfrey Oboabona, former Super Eagles defender, has made a comeback to Nigeria Premier Football League outfit, Sunshine Stars….READ ALSO
This marks Oboabona’s return to the NPFL after departing for abroad in 2013.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since his departure from Georgian side Dinamo Batumi in 2020.
Oboabona has signed a short-term contract with Sunshine Stars, which includes an option for extension.
His wealth of experience is expected to bolster the youthful Sunshine Stars squad.
Oboabona played a significant role during Sunshine Stars’ continental campaigns and was part of the Nigerian squad that clinched the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations trophy.
