‘My Father Has Been Sexually Abusing Me’ – Daughter Tells Kwara Court

Simbiat Moshood, residing in Olorunsogo area, Bode Saadu, Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State, has come forward with disturbing allegations against her father, Mashood. According to Simbiat’s testimony, her father has repeatedly engaged in sexual intercourse with her, threatening her with dire consequences if she were to expose the abuse. She further disclosed that her father’s second wife is aware of these despicable actions and has even mocked her, insinuating that the encounters were part of a ritualistic activity.

Expressing the gravity of her situation, Simbiat stated, “The act has become my father’s habit. I am his only daughter, which is why my mother has refused to return home after their divorce.”

The accused’s legal representative, Barrister Toyin Onaolapo, appealed to the court for bail on behalf of his client. Magistrate Abdul Yekeen granted bail to the accused and adjourned the case to April 15, 2024
