Investigations revealed that Favour, a final-year student in the Department of English, had passed all her courses except for one, in which she repeatedly failed. Allegations surfaced that a lecturer had vowed she would never pass that particular course.

In a heart-wrenching video circulating online, a woman identified as the deceased’s mother blamed a lecturer for her daughter’s tragic decision. She expressed her anguish, calling out the lecturer and demanding accountability.

Rex Nwome, a graduate of the institution and a close friend of Favour, corroborated the claims, stating that the lecturer had allegedly hindered Favour’s graduation. Despite her efforts, Favour faced disappointment after disappointment, culminating in her exclusion from the recent NYSC shortlist.
