The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Taoreed Lagbaja, have arrived at the Nigerian Air Force wing of Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos. Earlier, Naija News reported that Lt. Gen. Lagbaja’s body will be flown to Abuja today as preparations for his final burial intensify. Remembered for his impactful leadership in military operations and dedication to soldiers’ welfare, the late General has received tributes from military personnel, public figures, and citizens across Nigeria. President Bola Tinubu also paid tribute, describing him as a patriot committed to Nigeria’s peace and unity.

According to sources, a solemn ceremony will be held at the airport before the body is transported to Abuja for official and private funeral observances.
