Mashem confirmed that the extension was communicated via a letter from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume. Duna has been heading the Institute since 2020.

Duna is an accomplished Professor of Civil Engineering from Billiri Local Government in Gombe State, and he holds membership in several prestigious professional bodies. These include the Nigerian Institute of Engineering Management (MNIEM) and the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers (FNICE). He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (FNSE) and the Nigerian Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (FNAEGE). Additionally, he serves on the Council of the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) and the Industrial/Sectorial Board for the Regional Transport Research and Education Centre (TRECK) in Kumasi, Ghana.

Trade Minister: Tinubu’s Foreign Trips Yield Positive Results

Meanwhile, the Minister of Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole, has revealed that President Tinubu’s foreign trips have been instrumental in attracting foreign direct investment into Nigeria. on Monday, Oduwole discussed how her team has been monitoring the outcomes of the President’s overseas business engagements over the past 17 months. She noted that some of the promises made during the President’s trip to India in September had already been realized, thanks to the country’s favorable fiscal and monetary policies.

Oduwole also mentioned that she continues to engage with various stakeholders to boost Nigeria’s export sector.
