The remains of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Taoreed Lagbaja, arrived in Abuja on Thursday in preparation for his burial on Friday. Lagbaja, appointed by President Bola Tinubu in June 2023, served as Chief of Army Staff for 16 months before his recent passing due to illness in Lagos. His contributions to the Nigerian Army and his commitment to the nation have been honoured by heartfelt tributes from colleagues, public officials, and citizens, with his burial set to take place at the National Military Cemetery in Abuja.
