Breaking: Tinubu Directs Military, DSS To Track Down Terrorists Behind Niger State Attack

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued firm directives to Nigeria’s top security authorities to track down and apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji community in Niger State. According to Ireporter Online, the President instructed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services to ensure the perpetrators are swiftly brought to justice.

The directive also includes an urgent mandate to rescue all victims abducted during the attack, particularly women and children. The President’s order followed recent reports of violent assaults on villagers in Niger State by terrorists believed to be fleeing neighbouring Sokoto and Zamfara states after a United States airstrike carried out on Christmas Eve.

President Tinubu strongly condemned the killings and abductions in Kasuwan Daji, describing the incident as a direct challenge to Nigeria’s peace and stability. He extended his condolences to the families of those who lost their lives, as well as to the government and people of Niger State, assuring them of the Federal Government’s full support.

In a firm response, the President declared that those behind the attack, along with anyone aiding or enabling them, would face the full weight of the law. He emphasized that no individual or group, regardless of motive, would be allowed to threaten the nation’s security without consequences.

The President further assured residents that security agencies have been directed to intensify surveillance and operations around vulnerable communities, especially areas close to forests known to serve as hideouts for criminal groups. He called on Nigerians to remain united and vigilant, warning against divisive rhetoric that could weaken national cohesion during a period of heightened security concern.

President Tinubu urged citizens to show solidarity and collective resolve, stressing that unity remains Nigeria’s strongest weapon against terrorism and criminality. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to restoring peace, denying criminals any safe haven, and reclaiming affected communities from the grip of violence.
