April 14, 2026 Dollar Vs Naira Exchange Rate Update
According to Ireporter Online, the Nigerian foreign exchange market recorded notable fluctuations on Monday, April 13, 2026, as the Dollar to Naira exchange rate in the parallel market (commonly referred to as the black market or Aboki FX) continued to reflect ongoing pressure on the local currency. Sources from Bureau De Change (BDC) operators in Lagos indicated that the United States dollar was traded at approximately ₦1,410 for selling and ₦1,393 for buying within the unofficial market segment.
In contrast, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) maintained its official exchange range, with the dollar valued between ₦1,354 and ₦1,362, reiterating its position that transactions in the parallel market are not officially recognized and urging individuals seeking foreign exchange to conduct transactions through authorized financial institutions. Market observers noted that exchange rates may vary across different locations and dealers, depending on demand and supply dynamics in the forex space.
