Kogi APC Stakeholders Rally Behind Senator Karimi, Demand Unity Within Party

The position was outlined in a statement issued by Sani Philips, State Coordinator of the Kogi Progressive Stakeholders Forum (KPSF), following a recent press briefing held in Kabba by some members of the party’s local government and state executive structures in Kogi West.

The forum called on the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC, as well as the general public, to discountenance the claims made at the press conference, insisting that such remarks do not reflect the position of the wider majority of stakeholders and grassroots members in the senatorial district.

It further maintained that Senator Karimi continues to enjoy substantial support across Kogi West, citing his legislative activities, constituency projects, and developmental programmes as evidence of his performance in office.

The statement also stressed the importance of responsible communication among party members, noting that internal disagreements should be handled in a manner that preserves unity and strengthens public confidence in the APC.

Expressing concern over actions that could create division within the party, the forum urged leaders at all levels to prioritize collaboration and collective interest in order to reinforce the party’s strength ahead of the 2027 general elections.

It added that the views expressed by the group behind the earlier press conference were not representative of the broader APC grassroots structure in Kogi West, reaffirming that Senator Karimi remains focused on delivering democratic dividends to his constituents.

The forum also appealed to the APC National Working Committee to ensure unity and strategic coordination as the party prepares for upcoming electoral challenges, while expressing continued confidence in both President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Karimi based on their records of public service and engagement with citizens.
