According to reports monitored by Ireporter Online, the Peoples Democratic Party has dismissed campaign posters portraying former President Goodluck Jonathan as a presidential aspirant in the 2027 election. The party, through its National Publicity Secretary, Ini Ememobong, described the posters circulating on social media as fraudulent and reaffirmed that Jonathan remains a committed member of the PDP.

In Abuja, the Nigeria Democratic Congress announced that its presidential ticket for the 2027 election has been zoned to Southern Nigeria for a single four-year term, with the ticket expected to return to the North in 2031.
