Governors Aide Ossai Ovie and Nigerian Singer Chike

According to Ireporter Online, Ossai Ovie Success, an aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, has sparked reactions after condemning a group of women who crowded popular Nigerian singer, Chike, during a cinema appearance in Lagos on Sunday.

A viral video from the event showed several excited female fans surrounding the singer, eagerly attempting to take photographs with him, a moment that quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

However, the development has drawn controversy amid ongoing public discussions surrounding allegations linking Chike to the breakdown of media personality Frank Edoho’s marriage to his estranged wife, Sandra.

In a strongly worded Facebook post, Success described the scene as a “celebration of home wrecking,” expressing disappointment over what he perceived as admiration directed at the singer despite the allegations.

He argued that such public reactions send the wrong message about morality and relationships, insisting that individuals involved in infidelity should not be glamorised or celebrated.

He further claimed that the incident reflects a worrying shift in societal values, where, according to him, questionable behaviour is increasingly being rewarded with attention and popularity, warning that such trends could negatively influence younger generations.

The aide also criticised those who defended or downplayed the incident, maintaining that societal standards around loyalty and relationships were being eroded, and urged the public to reflect on the implications of normalising such behaviour.
