FULL LIST: 2026 AMA Awards Winners Revealed

According to Ireporter Online, the 2026 American Music Awards concluded in Las Vegas with a highly unusual seven-way tie for the most wins, as BTS, Bruno Mars, Cardi B, Sabrina Carpenter, KATSEYE, Sombr, and the vocal performers of HUNTR/X each secured three trophies during the star-studded ceremony held on Memorial Day.

The event, broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ from the MGM Grand Garden Arena, marked the 52nd edition of the AMAs and featured fan-voted categories spanning multiple genres including pop, hip-hop, country, R&B, Latin, K-pop, Afrobeats, rock, and Americana/folk. Queen Latifah returned as host, 31 years after her co-hosting debut in 1995.

Early highlights saw HUNTR/X—EJAE, Rei Ami, and Audrey Nuna—claim Song of the Year for “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters, while Sombr won Best Rock/Alternative Song for “back to friends.” Karol G also earned recognition with Best Latin Album for Tropicoqueta.

BTS emerged as one of the night’s biggest winners, taking the prestigious Artist of the Year award, while K-pop continued its strong showing with major wins for HYBE-associated acts KATSEYE and HUNTR/X in several key categories. Despite leading the nominations with eight nods, Taylor Swift did not secure a win at the ceremony.

The 2026 edition also introduced 12 new categories, including Song of the Summer, Best Vocal Performance, Best Throwback Song, and Breakthrough awards, reflecting the evolving scope of the awards show.

Special honors were presented during the night, with Karol G receiving the International Artist Award of Excellence, Billy Idol being honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award, and Darius Rucker receiving the Veterans Voice Award. The AMAs also featured a Memorial Day-themed initiative, partnering with 11 military and veterans organisations including the USO and the Congressional Medal of Honor Society.
