Harry Kane Wins European Golden Shoe
England captain Harry Kane has won the European Golden Shoe for the 2025/26 season after finishing as the highest-scoring player across Europe’s top domestic leagues.
According to IREPORTERONLINE, the Bayern Munich striker was confirmed as the winner of the prestigious individual award on Monday following an exceptional campaign for both club and country.
The European Golden Shoe is presented annually to the player who records the highest number of goals in Europe’s leading domestic leagues.
Kane enjoyed a prolific season with Bayern Munich, while also maintaining his impressive scoring record with the England national team.
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward scored 73 goals during the 2025/26 season, including 12 goals for England. His international tally also matched his best return for the national team since the 2021/22 campaign.
The latest honour adds to Kane’s growing collection of individual achievements and further underlines his remarkable consistency in front of goal.
His outstanding campaign extended beyond his club performances, with the England captain also making his mark at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
During the tournament, Kane strengthened his place in England’s football history by equalling and subsequently surpassing Gary Lineker’s record for goals scored by an English player at the World Cup.
His goals at the tournament also moved him into joint fifth place on the all-time FIFA World Cup goalscorers list.
Kane’s latest individual award comes after several impressive seasons since his move from Tottenham to Bayern Munich. The England captain has continued to produce goals at a remarkable rate, establishing himself as one of the most prolific forwards in European football.
At international level, Kane remains a central figure for England, while his performances in Germany have further enhanced his reputation as one of the leading strikers of his generation.
