My Parents’ Separation Affects Me” — 2Baba’s Daughter Opens Up

Isabel Idibia, daughter of Nigerian music star 2Baba and his former wife, Annie Idibia, has opened up about how her parents’ separation has affected her.

According to Ireporter Online, Isabel made the disclosure during an interview with Yanga FM on Friday while responding to a question about the impact of her parents’ split on her.

When asked whether the separation between her parents had affected her, Isabel acknowledged that it had, but said she was gradually adjusting to the situation.

She stated that although the development had affected her, things were improving with time.

2Baba announced his separation from Annie in February 2025, bringing an end to their marriage after years together. The singer later married Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.

Isabel’s comments come amid renewed public interest in the former couple’s relationship and its impact on their family.

Meanwhile, Nigerian comedian and filmmaker Ayo Makun, popularly known as AY, recently made a light-hearted comment about 2Baba’s current marriage during Daddy Showkey’s 50th anniversary concert in Lagos.

AY recalled that 2Baba had previously been his neighbour before his relationship with Natasha, joking about the possibility of the singer eventually returning to singlehood.

The comedian’s remark came amid public discussions surrounding 2Baba’s relationship with Natasha, although it was presented in a humorous context.

Isabel’s disclosure has, however, offered a personal perspective on how her parents’ separation has affected their daughter, while also indicating that she is gradually coming to terms with the changes in her family.
