Addressing an audience at a recent event abroad, DJ Cuppy admitted that she has come to realize the importance of saying “No” when necessary.

She remarked, “One of the lessons I’ve learned is the power of refusal. Last year was exceptionally tough for me because I failed to decline. I missed out on opportunities I should have turned down. I failed to reject a fiance I should have rejected. I took on too much.”

She recounted her overwhelming schedule, from hosting a morning breakfast show at the BBC to managing her DJing career, wedding planning, and academic pursuits at Oxford University, which ultimately led to burnout. She emphasized the importance of self-care and setting boundaries, acknowledging that overextending oneself is detrimental not only to personal well-being but also to relationships.

It is worth noting that DJ Cuppy and Ryan ended their engagement in July 2023, just seven months after their surprising engagement announcement in November 2022.
