2023 Elections: INEC Begins Movement Of Sensitive Materials To LGAs Nationwide
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun the transfer of sensitive materials from Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) branches to local government area offices across the country ahead of Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.
Mr Segun Agbaje, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Lagos, who is in charge of the process in the state, said the INEC is prepared for Saturday’s presidential and national assembly elections.
Election materials are ready for distribution to INEC local government offices in Lagos State.

The INEC REC also stated that the materials are safe and intact.
The sensitive materials were collected and distributed to Electoral Officers for onward transport to various INEC Local Government Offices at the Central Bank of Nigeria, Marina, amid heavy security.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, stated that the force has not encountered any difficulties thus far and that they expect the process to proceed smoothly.
The exercise, which is a major exercise leading up to the elections, was witnessed by security operatives, election observers, and other critical stakeholders.
