Actor Hassan Lands In ‘Big Trouble’ After Parading Himself As Oba Of Imobi [Photos]
The Ogun State House of Assembly has threatened to arrest popular Nollywood actor and film director, Omogoriola Hassan, for parading himself as the Oba of Imobi, in the Ijebu-East Local Government Area of Ogun State.
Hassan had taken to his social media pages to share photos of himself well dressed and hailed as the new king of Uba land, Imobi Kingdom.
The actor who is an ex-husband to actress Ayo Adesanya received many congratulatory messages on Facebook and Instagram respectively after posting his coronation photos.
Naija News observed that Hassan created an “official” Instagram account with his bio reading this: “His Royal Majesty Alayeluwa ilufemiloye I, The Age of UBA kingdom.”
Some elders and members of the community could also be seen in the photos posted by Hassan himself on the internet.
The Ogun Assembly got informed of the actor’s actions and frowned at it.
They also threatened to order his arrest should he fail to appear before it on August 17, 2021.
The Ogun Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, said on Tuesday, August 10, that Hassan had earlier failed to honour an invitation sent to him by the lawmakers.
The committee led by Hon. Bolanle Ajayi summoned Adeniyi to appear before it next Tuesday, August 17, to respond to a petition written against him by a group known as the Imobi Descendants’ Union.
The petition, it was gathered, bordered on his purported claim to the Obaship stool of Imobi-Ijebu.l
This online newspaper learnt that the committee also warned Hassan to stop parading himself as a traditional ruler in Imobi.
The Assembly asked him to appear before the House Committee with all the 36 Baales (local chiefs) under the community.

“Failure to honour the invitation would result in the issuance of an arrest warrant to all invitees, especially Gorilla Hassan, who failed to honour an earlier invitation extended to him by the Assembly,” the committee chairman had said.
