Anyim, Masari, Others Secure Fresh APC Appointments

In guidelines signed by the APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, the party disclosed that voting will be conducted through the direct primary system across all 8,809 wards nationwide, allowing registered members to vote directly for their preferred aspirants. The process will begin at ward level, with results collated at local government areas, then transmitted to state coordinators before final collation in Abuja by the Presidential Primary Election Committee.

The party further confirmed that the 2026 presidential primary will feature two aspirants — President Bola Tinubu and Stanley Osifo — as they compete under the APC platform. It added that designated officials, including State Coordinators and Collation Officers, will oversee the exercise across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory to ensure compliance and orderliness during the process.

Members of the Presidential Primary Election Committee include Ken Nnamani, Victor Udo Udoma, Otunba Grace Titi Laoye-Ponle, Jolly Nyame and Idris Wada, with Sanusi Musa serving as secretary. The Appeal Committee under Masari will have Samuel Piwuna as secretary and Patricia Olubunmi Etteh as member. The party also released an extensive list of State Coordinators and Collation Officers drawn from several prominent political figures, including serving governors across the federation, former office holders, and senior party stakeholders tasked with supervising the electoral process at various levels.

APC maintained that existing guidelines governing direct and consensus primaries earlier submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will remain in effect as the party moves to ensure a structured and transparent presidential primary process.
