According to Ireporter Online, the Bayelsa State Police Command has arrested fourteen suspects and recovered firearms alongside other exhibits during a coordinated operation in Ogboinbiri community, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

The operation, carried out jointly by the police and personnel of the Joint Task Force (JTF) on 10 May, followed actionable intelligence that led operatives to execute a search warrant at the residence of an individual identified as “Lionface,” said to be a close associate of a former youth leader in the community and the Deputy Paramount Ruler.

During the raid, security operatives reportedly recovered four pump-action guns, three packets of cartridges, and four operational speed boats fitted with engines, allegedly linked to criminal activities on the waterways.

Authorities confirmed that fourteen suspects were taken into custody in connection with the development, while efforts are ongoing to apprehend the principal suspect, “Lionface,” who remains at large.
