Bode George Drops Political Bombshell: “Leave PDP If You Can’t Stand the Heat!”

A senior figure in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Bode George, has issued a stern warning to members who display disloyalty to the party’s cause, stressing that indiscipline will no longer be tolerated after the forthcoming national convention.

Speaking in a televised interview, George expressed concern over individuals who publicly align themselves with the PDP while covertly working for opposition candidates. He likened such behaviour to “serving two masters,” emphasising that party loyalty and adherence to established rules are non-negotiable for any responsible member.

He declared that those unwilling to comply with the party’s regulations should “gracefully leave,” adding that the leadership had already given erring members ample opportunity to reconsider their actions. George revealed that, although decisive action had been delayed to allow for dialogue and reconciliation, the party was fast approaching a point where punishments would be enforced.

The PDP stalwart noted that no member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) would publicly support an opposition party, urging the PDP to adopt the same uncompromising stance. He insisted that apologies from offenders would be mandatory to avoid sanctions and warned that, once the national convention concludes and new leadership is in place, those who cannot abide by party rules will be expelled.

George underscored that the PDP is owned collectively by its members, not by any single individual, and reiterated that discipline and unity are essential for the party’s success in future political contests.
