Breaking News: NNPP Leaders Set Red Caps On Fire, Declare War On Kwankwaso MovementMembers of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Niger State have openly rejected Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso’s leadership within the party. Dr. Gilbert Agbo, the factional National Chairman who led the anti-Kwankwasiya initiative, made this declaration at the party’s secretariat in Minna, emphasizing that Kwankwaso and his Kwankwasiya faction pose a serious threat to the party’s progress and survival.

During the North Central Zonal meeting held in Minna, Agbo stated that Kwankwaso’s suspension by the National Working Committee in Lagos effectively nullified his membership and influence in the party. In a symbolic gesture, Agbo oversaw the burning of the distinctive red caps associated with the Kwankwasiya group at the party’s state secretariat, signifying a clear break from Kwankwaso’s faction.

Additionally, he revealed that Governor Kabir Abba Yusuf of Kano State is expected to face the party’s disciplinary committee for not adhering to the party’s principles and authority.

In reaction to these developments, Mallam Danladi Umar Abdulhamid, the leader of the Kwankwasiya Movement in Niger State, argued that Agbo’s position as national chairman is illegitimate, claiming that his actions serve his own agenda rather than the interests of party members. Abdulhamid reaffirmed that Kwankwaso remains recognized as the national leader of the party under Dr. Ahmed Ajuji’s leadership.
