CAN Reacts To Obaseki’s Restrictions On Unvaccinated Residents

The leadership of Edo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Edo has backed the state government’s decision to impose restrictions on entry into banks, churches and mosques for persons without proof of vaccination against COVID-19.

This is coming barely 24 hours after governor Godwin Obaseki said residents without proof of COVID-19 vaccination would not access churches and Mosques for worship during the flagging off of second phase vaccination.

The state Chairman of CAN, Bishop Orinamo Oyerunude Kure, who disclosed this in a broadcast said the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic has come again -particularly at this time of the third wave of the  Delta variant.

“We are counselling everyone to cooperate and save lives so that everyone in the various churches can be vaccinated.
