eight flight attendants and three pilots, turned back to Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) while flying over the airspace of Ivory Coast.
Reports indicate that the plane experienced a loss of cabin pressure, leading to a rapid descent that resulted in injuries among several passengers and crew members.
The airline attributed the incident to technical difficulties.
“Flight UA613 from Lagos to Washington D.C. returned to Lagos to resolve a technical issue. Upon landing safely, first responders were on hand to assist with reports of minor injuries among several passengers and crew,” the airline stated in a communication to Vanguard.
