SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson of the command, revealed the arrest via his official handle. Tunde, who was dismissed from the Nigerian Navy in 2000, allegedly masqueraded as an active military personnel, offering his services to mobilize individuals to assault others upon request, in exchange for a fee.

The arrest occurred while Tunde and his accomplices were assaulting a hotel staff member. This attack was reportedly commissioned by a hotel customer who engaged Tunde’s services after being reprimanded for smoking in a designated non-smoking area of the hotel.

Tunde’s illicit activities not only undermine the integrity of the military but also pose a significant threat to public safety and security. The police command remains committed to ensuring that perpetrators of such crimes are brought to justice.

The arrest of Muhammed Tunde underscores the importance of vigilance and collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the public in curbing criminal activities and maintaining law and order within the community.
