The agency reaffirmed its commitment to fairness, professionalism, and sustainable industry growth.

According to iReporter Online, Prince Fatiu Akiolu, LASAA’s Managing Director, emphasized that the agency has long prioritized dialogue and partnership with industry stakeholders.

LASAA’s approach is mainly preventive, involving monitoring, early warnings, and corrective actions, with enforcement only as a last resort.

Akiolu acknowledged ongoing violations of spacing, setback, and structural regulations, attributing these mainly to operator lapses rather than regulatory overreach. He called on industry bodies like OAAN and licensed professionals to enhance self-regulation and report infractions to help improve Lagos’s urban environment.
